Biography

UNIVERSITY

My parents wanted me to become a doctor. In 2003 I visited a University in Moscow and saw a guy casually reading quantum mechanics while chatting with a friend. As it turned out he even had the same name as mine. I didn’t think anymore. I applied only to same university and same faculty. I didn’t even look at the name of the faculty. After a year I realized that it was a special school for gifted kids, organized by one of the academics from the Russian Academy of Science. It was the best place. We had free access to the top labs and scientific institutes. I remember this time as a big blessing and thankful for every single person I met during this time.
In my first year at university to make some money I was working as a promoter for a few brands in Moscow. But this didn’t last long. The CEO of one big Moscow company invited me for one project. He asked me to repeat a really simple text and was looking at me as I were an object, I felt like I was an object. I couldn’t bear it. It was the last day I worked as a promoter. I have been focusing on my scientific career since then.
I left science in 2012, only because I always wanted to be independent and do my own things.
